I’m so excited she’ll be home from Camp tomorrow...

Okay, so today was the day... My daughter came home from camp. Each year she spends a few days at camp and I get so excited to hear about all the adventures she has, all the learning and growing that takes place in those few days just can't be bought. This year was her first year attending as a high school student and it was a whole new experience for her. It's scary to send off your child to load a bus and travel to a neighboring state (California in this case) and stay away for 5 days. I am surely "that parent" that texts my kid every morning, noon and night... "just checking in..." Thats totally normal, right?! I want to know whats going on, are you well, did you have a good day, did you get sleep last night?! Seems the older she gets the less details I get, I find that I am the one that is usually doing the initiating (insert eye roll here). 

She's home now, camp was a phenomenal experience for her and hundreds of other high school students. I am so grateful for such an incredible event put on by our church, reaching the youth and sharing, inspiring and growing the love of Jesus in each of their hearts. 

Not only did she get to grow in her faith walk, she came back with so many deeper relationships with friends. I love that these relationships flourish over the summer and can carry over into the school year.
